Avan Anniebrook Adventure November 2023

Updated: Nov 19, 2023

Leaving Perth on Tuesday after our morning appointments, the traffic heading south was busy but not stop start.

Passing the Crooked Carrot, it was busy so we did not stop.

As I had found more reasonable fuel before leaving we did not require a stop for the whole trip.

Arriving at Southern Stars Holiday Camp, we were escorted to our bay. The bays here are huge so no skill required to back into place. Still having the camp hose guide us always helps.

For this length of stay we put up our annex. A little more time to set up but each time we put up the annex we learn a little more. This time only slid the front section of the roof into the tracks before pushing up the roof. Walls up, annex complete, power and water connected, time for a cuppa.

Happy hour rushed up so off to enjoy the company of fellow Avaners.

The following days had us enjoying a trip to a winery for a picnic, a very generous dinner, afternoon games and happy hours each day.

The weather held and only a few windy periods but warm so very comfortable.

Saturday rolled around and time to pack up. We decided on a light brekky which had us on the road around 8am. Again minimal traffic so a smooth run home.

If heading into the Busselton area, we recommend you check out this park. Only a short run into town, plenty of room in your bays, dog friendly with pet enclosed bays, stars at night, a fire pit lit for your enjoyment and a great camp kitchen area.
